The black coils are 1.5" lowering and the variable rate blue coils are 2" lowering springs. Plus a Full poly bushing kit. Just waiting on the Bilstein HDs...
The reason for creating this Volvo 140 blog... The idea for this project really came from watching the movie Gattaca. I just loved the classic (electric) cars. The plan with this project is to restore this beautiful old volvo and to make it accelerate, handle, brake, and even look better than it ever was ever intended to, yet be completely electric.
Classic looks with modern engineering –the best of both worlds.
This will happen in several stages. The first is rebuilding the suspension, wheels, and brakes to my liking. Next comes the body, and interior, and last but not least, the conversion. I do want to experience this car on the road as I improve elements so the motor will only be kept in its current working condition with all my efforts directed to it's long-term goal of being an electric car.
Sweet! It will feel like a whole new car; I just did an almost identical job on my own 142.
ReplyDeleteNice, where did you get the 2" lowering springs?
